Planned Parenthood's Freebie Condoms - What's the Deal?
I was reading the most recent issue of Consumer Reports today and was surprised to find a review of, of all things condoms. Largely, I was content to simply flip over to the next page, but saw that there was a wide variance of quality, the lowest two spots went to condoms by, you guessed it - Planned Parenthood. The first was their "assorted" variety, which was rated as "fair." The lowest of all was their "Honeydew" - it is named after its "flavor" (a little strange, but ok), which was rated as "poor." The Honeydew further was rated poor (a little black dot for CR readers) for reliability. The attached note states:
We tested 120 samples of each model except the Planned Parenthood Honeydew, whose initial failure merited a retest of a larger sample of 500.Both are free of charge, distributed to women who visit Planned Parenthood for their "services." The test conducted by Consumer Reports involved inflating the condoms to a certain air pressure. Most could hold up to 38 liters of air. The Planned Parenthood Honeydew? It broke 12 out of 120 times (%10) at pressures below 25 liters. The article doesn't speculate as to the reason for this low performance. The reason is revealed by a rather terse and pragmatic discussion of abortion and the pill. They state plainly the horrors of the side-effects of RU-486 - horrors including weeks of bleeding, possible failure and "survival" of the embryo and a fatality rate of nearly 1 in 100,000.
They would not be clear about why Planned Parenthood's freebie condoms failed. I will be. Planned Parenthood exists as an organization to provide abortion, pure and simple. They distribute a product which fails because they don't care really what it does. They state as much on their website:
Unlike other condoms, every time you purchase a Planned Parenthood Condom your money goes back into helping to support our mission to ensure that all individuals have the freedom to make reproductive decisions.OH, so they're not free, you can pay for them. Yes, and the proceeds go to what? Funding abortions ("reproductive decision" is code for abortion) by selling condoms which are faulty seems to be their MO. Their website also says that 14 women out of 100 using their condoms will usually become pregnant within a year of use. How is that possibly "effective"? Then, what happens when they do become pregnant? They don't have babies, I can tell you that. The website even says that if the condom breaks, that's when you resort to what? Emergency Contraception, that's what. And that's code for RU-486. The real story here, friends, is that Planned Parenthood is an evil organization. They offer free OB/GYN services to uninsured women, passing out "goodie bags" afterwards. Then, when the contents of those bags fail, they come in with abortion. Planned Parenthood performs over 182,000 (they don't keep numbers, so this is probably low) abortions per year. Over 50,000,000 babies have been aborted since 1965 in this country alone. Why do Planned Parenthood condoms fail so easily? Isn't it obvious?
